How do you pick Shopify development services for a quick launch?
If you want to be selling within a month, buy the smallest package that covers payments, shipping, a decent theme and proper testing, from someone who can show you a dated plan. Everything else on your wish list can be bought later, once orders are coming in.
That's the short version. The rest of this post is about applying it without ending up with a store you have to rebuild six months from now.
Start with what you'll sell in the first month
Two founders can both say "we need to launch fast" and mean completely different things. A candle maker with 25 products and a loyal Instagram following needs a clean store, a couple of payment options and a courier account. A distributor with 600 SKUs, wholesale buyers and stock in two warehouses needs integrations, bulk uploads and probably custom pricing. Their quotes shouldn't look anything alike, and if an agency sends them both the same package, that tells you something.
So before asking anyone for a price, write down what you'll sell in the first 30 days, roughly how many orders you expect, and where those orders will ship. Then write a second list of the features you'd like eventually. Only the first list needs to be in the quote.
The three kinds of help you can buy
Some founders set up the store themselves and pay an expert for a few hours to handle the fiddly parts, usually payments, shipping rules and a final check. This is the cheapest route and works well for small catalogues, as long as you have the time to do the rest.
Most brands that want speed go for a fixed launch package from an agency. You hand over your content, the agency builds and tests the store, and you get a launch date in writing. It costs more than doing it yourself, but you aren't learning Shopify settings at midnight.
A custom build is the third option, for brands with unusual product logic, several markets or systems that need to talk to Shopify from day one. It's the slowest of the three and should only be on the table if your business genuinely can't start without it.
| Package at Amwhiz | Who it suits | Delivery | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | New brands, up to 10 products | 2 weeks | ₹45,000 / $499 |
| Professional | Growing brands, up to 50 products and key apps | 4 weeks | ₹1,20,000 / $1,300 |
| Enterprise | Several markets, integrations, custom work | Quoted per project | Custom |
Free theme, premium theme or custom?
The theme decision moves your timeline more than anything else. Shopify's free themes, Dawn being the best known, are quick, well maintained and perfectly good for a first store. A premium theme adds layout options and features for a small step up in time. A custom theme is built from your own designs and adds weeks.
Our advice for a quick launch is to start with a strong free or premium theme and spend the money you save on product photos. You can always commission a custom theme later, when you know which pages your customers actually spend time on.
What a quick-launch quote should include
Whatever you buy, the quote should say how many products will be set up, confirm that payments (COD included if you need it) and shipping rates will be configured and tested, and cover mobile checks, basic page speed work and page titles for your key pages. It should also mention the order emails and how many days of help you get after launch. If any of that is missing, ask why, because those are the jobs that tend to drift into "after launch" and then quietly never happen.

How to tell whether a provider can really move fast
Anyone can promise two weeks. The providers who deliver tend to publish their packages and delivery times openly, ask for your content and approvals with due dates attached, and start the payment gateway and courier paperwork in week one rather than week three. They also have their own developers instead of a list of freelancers to call.
The strongest signal is a deadline in the contract with a consequence attached. At Amwhiz, if we deliver later than the agreed date, you don't pay for the extra days.
Mistakes that slow a quick launch down
The most common one is paying for next year's store today. Features you won't use for months still take time to build and test, and they add maintenance from the day you go live.
A close second is installing an app for everything. Every app adds a little load time and a monthly fee, and each one is something else to check before launch. Three or four well-chosen apps are plenty on day one.
Design by committee causes delays too. When five people give feedback on the homepage, you get five rounds of changes. Choose one person who signs off.
And finally, sending product data in dribs and drabs. A product sheet that arrives in six instalments is the single most common reason we see stores miss their date.
Questions founders ask us
What's the fastest realistic launch time? About two weeks, if the store uses a ready-made theme, the catalogue is small and your content is ready at the start.
Will a quick launch hurt my SEO? Not if page titles, clean URLs, compressed images and a sitemap are set up before you go live. Blog content and backlinks can come afterwards.
Can I add features after launch without rebuilding? Usually, yes. Apps, theme changes and custom features can all be added to a live store as you grow.
